Kylie Voight:Peace is the third fruit of the Spirit, and it's the one we'll be talking about this week. What is peace? What does it mean?
The Oxford definition of peace is "freedom from disturbance; tranquility." As Christians, we know that this is only part of the definition. I believe that true peace is found when we know and trust that the Lord is good and He's in control of everything. According to these definitions, finding peace should be so easy, so why is it incredibly hard for most people?
Our flesh desires to control. It goes against the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us. Peace is a choice that we get to make each and every day.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7
How do we choose peace? We choose to trust the Lord and His plan for us. I challenge you to choose trust this week and return, the Lord will give you His peace.
Have a blessed week!
