Share without Pretending

”Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.“

Ephesians 4:15

When thinking of sharing without pretending, at first I thought, "Does this mean speak without lying?" I couldn’t exactly pinpoint what it meant although I do think that's part of it. I kept thinking and it finally made sense: it was also talking about our gifts and how we use them. We need to act and share without pretending, meaning that you don't share because you feel obligated but because you want to. Think, “not a forceful desire but a willing desire." You don't HAVE to, you GET to.

This not only means doing something because you truly want to; it also means speaking truth and love rather than pride and hypocrisy.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget love isn’t just a feeling, but an action too. This is why doing something because you want to shows love without pretending!
